Not just "one of their players" try their star scorer Amy Wambach ! Broken leg in a "friendly" against Brazil. Damn shame, She'd a had a field day against the sloths Japan fielded. In any case, my Olympics are just about a complete success. Two wins over the arrogant Japanese squads have made life bearable again. Can't wait to gloat again when I walk into the office on Monday. Can't tell you how tired I got of hearing "in the US soccer isn't a popular sport" ! Odd, popular enough to whoop both Japan's Olympic teams ! Yes !

A sharp team of tall players ran the J-ladies' team ragged. Well done, good game.

The U.S. men
s and womens soccer teams defeated their Japanese counterparts in Beijing. Congratulations to the U.S.!Japan only has to wait four years for the London Games to possibly get another chance at an elusive victory over the Americans in Olympic soccer.

If I remember correctly, the U.S. soccer team is missing one of its star players due to injury, and they still were able to defeat the Japanese.

Great win USA. The US Deserved to win. The Japanese lacked the skills and passion of the Americans.
The US womens team is becoming stronger each year, while the Japanese stagnate.
