If I remember correctly, the U.S. soccer team is missing one of its star players due to injury, and they still were able to defeat the Japanese.

Not just "one of their players" try their star scorer Amy Wambach ! Broken leg in a "friendly" against Brazil. Damn shame, She'd a had a field day against the sloths Japan fielded. In any case, my Olympics are just about a complete success. Two wins over the arrogant Japanese squads have made life bearable again. Can't wait to gloat again when I walk into the office on Monday. Can't tell you how tired I got of hearing "in the US soccer isn't a popular sport" ! Odd, popular enough to whoop both Japan's Olympic teams ! Yes !

Great win USA. The US Deserved to win. The Japanese lacked the skills and passion of the Americans.

The US womens team is becoming stronger each year, while the Japanese stagnate.
