Suzuki Muneo: mata amerika ni yarareta yo!
Actually an entertaining match and far better than any of the Japanese
men's matches. And they are not out yet, the bronze medal is still up for grabs.
Wow, no mention of the sport in either the headline or the first three paragraphs and then it's mentioned only in passing. (And yes, I guessed it was soccer when they mentioned goal but I think competent writing would at least share with the readers the name of the sport in a lead paragraph.)
Well, it WAS a good game, in the first half, but part-way through the second those Americans just 'mowed' down the Japanese players. Still, they did far better than the men; in fact, the women have dominated the men in just about EVERY sport... guess the Japanese women are just better, over all.
US rallies (?) Are you serious ? Try, "Japan scores on early US mistake, unable to compete from then on". Gomen ne, Japan is no where near the calibre team that the USA is. The Japanese girls, yes I said girls, are much too worried about their hair and nails. The US women are serious ball players. And to think, some of you here at Japantoday actually questioned whether or not Americans play soccer. You bet they do, and they're damn good at it ! Go USA ! Brazil is the obvious favorite but theirs nothing better than an underdog victory. U-S-A, U-S-A !

Ahhh, Nippon Women's Soccer bites the dust again and is out of it.
Also the Men's Volleyball team - 0-5 and out of it.
