Congratulations overall to the American men and women who won gold in the 4X400 meter relays and made up for part of the disappointment of the flops in the 4X100 meter relays.
Congratulations in particular to Jeremy Wariner on overcoming so many obstacles and anchoring the 4X400 meter relay to the gold medal in Olympic record time. You have won individual Olympic gold and silver in the 400m, and two relay golds, in addition to your four World Championship gold medals.
You are a great inspiration and have been motivating kids just like you for several years now that they can do the same things you do.
"In London 2012 games, USA Olympic team should go back to original 1st positions with gold top positions."
I doubt it. China is primed for a long run at the top of the gold medal standings in successive Olympics. Even though I am American, I have no problem with this. If the Chinese can outperform the Americans overall, good for them.
In marked contrast to what so many in Japan incorrectly believe, the U.S. did not have a "lesser" performance in these Olympics, nor was the performance in Athens in 2004 any sign of a decline in American Olympic fortunes. The U.S. equalled its gold medal haul of 36 in Athens with its outstanding efforts in Beijing, and won 109 medals all together-its highest total ever in a non-boycotted Olympics. A review of Olympic medal totals shows the U.S. to be remarkably consistent and successful in the Summer Games.
Congratulations to the U.S. Olympic team on another tremendous performance!
Congratulations to China as well for putting on a great performance from open to close and winning the medals race!
Another excellent display of teamwork by the Americans. Safe to say their previous misadventures in the relays was nothing more than a fluke. Good to see them bounce back !

USA still rules the Olympics track & field..., sort of..., save for the Jamaican hurricanes blowing it away in some of races.
