Well, if the USA and Russia hadn't divided Korea into two countries after the war, we would not be having this problem.

In my village of 800 people we had a pachinko run by a NK family in the 80s. Appearently Heisei diplomacy is still not proactive in promoting unification.

Do we still have to deal with this propaganda? In 1944 and 1945 during WW2, a lot of both Japanese and Koreans were conscripted for factory and mine labor in lieu of draft for soldiers. Calling it "slave labor" is quite distorting.
After the war, all of those conscripted workers were sent home at the cost of the government. So, those who are here are here at their own will.
They are not Japanese citizens. They can get Japanese citizenship if they apply for one, but they refuse to apply.
