"often far away and disconnected from one another." Not, not so disconnected. Radical Islamic extremists are most and the pre judging of police by far to many people with anti police movements verbally calling for the killing. A nut only needs a wisper to go to far. These police executioners are those nut jobs.

I think it describes an even more dire point of view that it is to be taken for granted that it is natural for there to be violence in the Middle East.
