The ONLY way to reduce pollution is to reduce the use of fossil fuels. Since pretty much every nook and cranny of every single economy in the world today is highly dependent on fossil fuels, a reduction in fossil fuel use ONLY means a SIGNIFICANT decrease in the quality of life....

OR...

The significant decrease in the amount of PEOPLE.

Which begs the question. How do you know that's not what's being done already?

Ski resorts in some parts of America have already begun turning on their snow machines at night, more than a month early. The climate change debat might revive if the world were actually getting warmer. But it has not warmed since 1998, despite promises from the UN that it would. The promised increases in severe weather have not occurred, in fact, severe weather seems to be decreasing. It has been a decade now since the last hurricane made landfall in Florida, the storm which hit New York a couple of years ago was not a hurricane. Tornado deaths are at much lower levels.

Arctic ice was supposed to have disappeared more than a year ago, but it is still here, and the northwest passage is again frozen over. Many temperature records around the world were broken last year, but there were more cold weather records broken than hot weather records. And on September 7th of this year, antarctica experienced the coldest temperature ever recorded by man on earth, something which was not supposed to be possible.

Scientists last year sailed into the antarctic seas 100 years after the explorer Mawson explored them, in order to see how much global warming had affected the ice. But in 2013 it seems there was more ice than in 2012, and the expedition's ship became suck in rapidly forming ice. Mawson had no such troubles back in 1912 when the world was supposedly cooler.

Revive climate issue? I wish this scam would go away. I am guessing the various charlatan scientists in charge want more grant money and the bureaucrats involved want to try again at this meerschaum revenue stream. Of course both groups own all of the so called green companies, so I suppose they need more sales Also.

But it has not warmed since 1998, despite promises from the UN that it would.

Well this is just poorly worded, nobody promised anything. It is also misleading, the scientific position has never been that it will get warmer year after year without fail, but that there is a longer term trend clearly visible. It also ignores the fact that the period from 1998 has seen most of the hottest years on record.

The promised increases in severe weather have not occurred, in fact, severe weather seems to be decreasing. It has been a decade now since the last hurricane made landfall in Florida, the storm which hit New York a couple of years ago was not a hurricane. Tornado deaths are at much lower levels.

Again, nobody promised anything, scientists have warned that in the future this might happen but have been extremely careful not to blame specific events on climate change. The fact that a hurricane hasn`t hit Florida in the past decade is pretty meaningless as evidence.

And on September 7th of this year, antarctica experienced the coldest temperature ever recorded by man on earth, something which was not supposed to be possible.

Who ever said this was not possible? Again, the scientific opinion has been pretty clear that climate change is unpredictable and can include extreme cold. The point is that over a much longer term average temperatures are expected to rise.

But in 2013 it seems there was more ice than in 2012, and the expedition's ship became suck in rapidly forming ice.

Right, the ice increased one year over the last so....climate change doesn`t exist? Missing from your cherry picked group of facts is mention that the 2012 ice was the lowest ever recorded.
