    I still remember all the peak oil guys 10 years ago claiming that by this time we'd be out of oil.

    No doubt all the ice will melt in 10 years predictions will suffer the same fate.

    It took millions of years for the earth to crush plankton into fossil fuels; it is logical to think that it would take millions of years to create more.

    Completely illogical thinking. The amount of "remaining oil" has been consistently INCREASING since the 50's. This isn't some shocking discovery. Economists (that don't work for the government) have known this for years.

    we are entering a new age of abundant oil.

    See above. This isn't a revolution. This isn't news. This isn't anything contrary to what is observable in the free market.

    Maybe to this particular journalist, but what's news to her isn't necessarily news to the rest of us.

    Uh, they aren't increasing, we are just discovering more oil.

    Isn't it a joke that all this oil is from dead animals and plants of the past, what if all this oil is just isn't discovered or good ol' Mother Earth churns out the oil naturally.
