    20 years ago the biggest problem in the agriculture was overproduction. Countries like Canada were dumping grain into the ocean to keep prices high and even today in many major European countries like France farmers are paid not to plant in order to keep prices above a certain level.

    There's plenty of underused and unused arable land available, we just need better management.

    NeverSubmit: Same here in Japan as far as not using the land to grow. Many many plots empty.
