Actor Johnny Depp, right, and director Tim Burton pose at a press conference to promote their movie “Alice in Wonderland” in Tokyo on Monday. Depp, who plays the Mad Hatter, spent less than 15 hours in Japan because he had to return to Italy to resume shooting a film with Angelina Jolie. He arrived on a private jet just after 7 a.m. and was greeted by nearly 1,000 fans in the terminal at Narita airport. After a press conference in Shinjuku, he and Burton attended the Japan premiere of the film at Ebisu Garden Place at 5:30 p.m. Depp then headed back out to Narita. “Alice in Wonderland” opens in Japan on April 17.

Too bad Depp is here only 15 hours. I would've liked to be a fly on the wall at whatever club these two maniacs would have visited.

You know what? Johnny Depp is awesome but he just did not do it for me in Alice. I did love the March Hare and the Jabberwockey. But I know what I say will not stop you people from seeing it.

Here's one actor who really doesn't seem to have Hollywood change him. Maybe because he's living in France? I love Burton's "take" on just about everything. Can you imagine Burton getting into Anime? Wow, that would be simply great. Can't wait to watch all of Burton's work and Johnny Depp, my favorite actor. Nobody takes chances like Johnny does, and they usually work.
