A built-in train set is seen next to a bed in the Washington Hotel in Tokyo’s Akihabara district. This hotel has built a train set into a 13th floor twin room that features a model Tokyo Tower, a mosaic of the city’s neighborhoods and the resort area of Hakone.

So authentic! I can even see an upskirt-camera creep following 2 high school girls up the escalator to the train platform. And look! In the Shinkansen there's a salaryman forcing his family to sit with him in the smoking car.

"Hello room service? Could you come up and help me cram all the passengers inside? It's rush hour."

That would be a great and fun idea in a bigger room. I love playing with trains.

I use to visit a friend of my father's in '39 or '39. As you came down the stair you had to lift one of he railway tressles or bridges & more to get to his main workshop where he was building more steam locamotives, to railway cars.

Being only 8 or 9 yrs of age THAT was a true eye opener as he had so many different levels of railway lines, but he used all the basement for railway lines or sneaked some around a home heating stove, hot water tank & such.

This chap was a fanatic for sure.

This is nothing. My father's friend in the states dedicated his entire basement for this stuff. Trains running everywhere. It was like a miniature city.

whatever nationality you want to pick on you should back off. if boys want to play with little iddy biddy train sets you should let them get on with it.

Believe me if my parents rented a room in that hotel, at my younger age, I would be glued to the railway system.
