An extra edition of a Japanese sports newspaper reporting Miami Marlins' Ichiro Suzuki's 4257th hit, is handed out to pedestrians in Tokyo on Thursday. Suzuki's combined career hits in Japan and the major leagues surpassed Pete Rose's major league record of 4,256 career hits. See story here.

Pete Rose, the disgraced former ballplayer, put Ichiro down, when he heard the news. Shows how little class the guy's got - he's still mad they caught him gambling on his own games and pushed him off the diamond for life. Classic loser.

You cannot compare both leagues with different rules and game play. Only his hits in America should count.
