Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie smiles during a news conference at Roppongi Hills Friday to promote her film “Changeling.” Jolie, 33, has been nominated for a best actress Oscar for her portrayal of a woman whose 9-year-old son is kidnapped, and who has to fight the corrupt LA police when they try to return another boy to her. Jolie said she is inspired by women all around the world who fight injustice and oppression. She added that she had only just recently learned about the abduction of Japanese by North Korea and said she would like to meet the mothers of the abductees. “Changeling” opens in Japan on Feb 20.

Every time I see her, the words "Home Wrecker" come to my mind.....but of course, Brad Pitt is one also.....

Abductions? Reminds me of a couple of years ago when my brother-in- law's father suggested that the returnee abductions story would be top news in the UK. I didn't have the heart to tell him that it's really a non-story outside of Japan, and quite rightly so.

Angelina is looking lovely as ever.

Mentionign the abdunctees is only a marketing ploy (a very nice one IMO) to generate interest in the movie, as it is about an abductee.

Her mother, I believe, is partly Native American. She certainly doesn't look like her father, Jon Voight.

It must be difficult when you achieve fame and fortune at an early age to keep your feet on the ground. Angelina seems to have found her place. My hat is off to her for forging a life more meaningful than one marked by self-absorbed materialism.

Angelina Jolie is great. I've liked her from the start and still do. With or without Pitt. And yes she is (still) hot, more sexy than beautiful perhaps.

She has good teeth. She has to, she has a mouth like a piano.

Have not heard of Japanese being abducted here in Houston. That's cause hey were abducted in Japan. Seriously though, I'm surprised you haven't heard of something that even your former Governor was pretty aware of.

Her mother, I believe, is partly Native American. She certainly doesn't >look like her father, Jon Voight.

I think she looks alot like her father, who I first saw in a movie theater as a kid. (Midnight Cowboy)

So she's a good woman, and I believe also a rich woman who could afford to have all the education in the world that she wants. So why the ignorance...?

hellokitty: Yes, Angelina is being honest. Good for her. I just found it strange that she didn't know about the abductee topic much earlier. oh well, perhaps she's busy raising children...:)..

Both of them give a hell of a lot of time and money to orphaned children in Vietnam. If you don't believe it? Try google.

You may not like their acting abilities but don't judge them when you do not know them. All you see is their media side.

Isn't it amazing how plain most stars look when they aren't all done up and dressed to the nines?

  • Helter_Skelter at 05:51 AM JST - 31st January

Love her or hate her, she certainly is beautiful...except for all those tattoos.

  • Wottock_Hunt at 06:58 AM JST - 31st January

Boing. Show me a man who's not foaming at the mouth when watching Gia and I'll show you a man with a lot of Sir Elton on his iPod.

A stunner who does a lot more than she needs to for charity. Good on her.

If you're reading this, AJ, I could do with being adopted - on the strict understanding that I'm not bottle-fed.
