Anti-nuclear protest

I protest the use of helium.

I hope they are biodegradable balloons.

Sillygirl, I know, right? Plus the use of LIMITED earth supply of Helium is ridiculous.

Each one has a message card on it and they're trying to check the direction of radioactive matter which will be diffused in case of a severe accident at the nuclear power plant.

More plastic and vinyl to pollute the ocean, great.

Japan currently gets 47% of its power from LNG. Whichever way you cut it, it is not fimamcially sustainable in the long term. Sure, it would be great to have the scale of investment in green technologies like you see in Germany, but for now nuclear is Japan's only option.

helium is becoming a rare gas and all that plastic in the oceans? Couldn't they have used traditional candle / paper floating lanterns?

Funny. I hope they are not complaining about the damage nuke power does to the environment! Think of all those balloons and what they would do....

Lets hope there were more people than ballons!
