Despite all the wisecracks this simple rather unexciting photo represents how democratic countries get along even if they have differences which they resolve through civilized means. Truth of course is that Austarlia and Japan have infinitely more views in common than opposed, and when it comes to security in the face of the "big bad neighbor" they're in the same boat as are most Sea East Asian nations.
