Nice shot, it looks like Tanaka put his weight on the air. Litteraly levitating in the air ^^

Tulio had a great game and the whole Japan team outclassed the aussies with skill, stamina, discipline and stuff. sadly the manager didn't give them enough confidence to play with some style and run at them. it was clear early on that all the crosses and corners were not going to yeild a goal as the Aussies were just muscling them out of it and Japan were having another one of those days were they couldn't find an empty net. for a 20 minute spell in the second half it looked like the aussies stopped trying and were happy to let Japan take pot shots. Japan should have been insulted ;-)

Man of the match. must be Nakamura. Looked like he was a set of twins out there, involved in seemingly every play that looked like it could have counted.

Even numbers in the pic and even score...only fun that Yuriko has taken an excellent shot !

It was a good game to watch. But Japan deserved all three points.

Japan's never ending dilemma. Whenever it's confronted by tight defense it rarely scores big time. Every attempt was covered.

Australia looked jaded and out of sorts but still pressed a draw.

Japan won't have the same luxury as tonight with the return bout in June in the Australian cauldron.

Australia was pathetic.A disgrace.Unfortunately the coach's big talk leading up to the game was not backed up the team's play. They have regressed since Hiddink was the coach. A total waste of a public holiday evening.

A poor display in terms of football, both teams were unaware of shape to the point of Sunday League pub blokes.

Pretty dour game, Aussies looked on the back foot for much of proceedings- valuable point though, mission accomplished.

japan did not deserve to win. they should have. Pim Verbeek isnt trying to get his team to attack and score, he is aiming to get them to qaulify, and little else, excuse giving younger inexperienced played a shot at a higher level. They clearly need it! Australia got what they wanted in a point i supoose, a disappointing match. im glad i didnt pay to go watch it!
