Best eyeists?

It's really great that these kind of competitions exist. I imagine that if similar events were held when I was a young boy growing up in the urban decay and all out poverty, something like this might have inspired me to rise out of the crime infested streets and set my sights on hard work so that one day, I too may have a shot at being "Best Dressed Eyes".
Also, I think that it is really great that whoever sponsored this event is providing an invaluable service to all the victims of 3/11. Instead of diverting the money directly to them, the sponsors have wisely chosen to put on this event for the viewing pleasure of the victims. I'm sure it instills them with a deep sense of hope and camadarie that their nation is still very aware of their plight and is continuing to think about them.
Three cheers for Best Dressed Eyes!!!!!

No, BlueWitch, I believe the next one is best styled cuticles and its sub-contest; happily free hangnails. (^o~) I really wonder how anyone would ever want to create an award for something so absurd and who would ever actually go to receive their prize.

**crustpunker, ** what was it that precipitated your need to point out the obvious? I'm quite certain that everyone understood your (heavy-handed) sarcastic intent without having to pound it into our heads a second time. Less is more, senor.

This is total BS but since Anna Tsuchiya has scary eyes I'm glad she's wearing sunglasses. Aya Takashima deserves best dressed everything IMHO.

I would be absolutely humiliated to show my face accepting such a horsesh*t award. Of course, Japanese "talent" have never exactly been accused of possessing a shred of integrity now, have they? Media hungry whores who are overpaid for being under-talented and who unscrupulously accept donations and bogus award prizes and money, and give literally nothing back to those who need it. Generosity is NOT exactly a strong trait in Japanese culture now, is it? Materialism, on the other hand....

"and members of all-girl idol group AKB48 (special category). "
"Special category" - LOL. That is to say, "young trim in short skirts to make this idiot award seem not so asinine and to attract as many pervs as possible to prove its popularity" category. Absolute idiocy.

next is best t-backist looking forward to seeing the cougar category leaders, Noriko / Sugimoto / .....

655321 -- encouraging isn't it. Only like seven months after the Tohoku disaster and Japan has already completely "recovered" to its pre-quake level of silliness and materialism. Gives one hope for the future.

Best Self Important Hyperbole Awards continue..... what a waste of time for a country that needs to get serious about itself. How about the best engineer, teacher, or doctor, or whatever... y'know... other people that matter?

I'm so happy for my 20/20 vision... I hope I can keep it for a long, time, given that I spend at least 10-12 hours in front of a computer daily.
