The bigger they are—this humungous Akiburger has been drawing diners and media to Burger Cafe Asyl in Akihabara. The 1,890-yen monster stands 20 cm tall.

With such a ridiculous size, I wonder if it has toppled off the plate before it has reached the table.

Something like that would turn me sick. How anyone has a mouth that size to take a bite is beyond belief.
I will admit that about once every 6 or 8 months I have a hamburger, but I will obtain the ground round at a grocery store (some yrs ago I would point out the type of meat, at a meat store, & have it ground to in prior yrs I would take it home & grid it myself), then whatever else & basically it was a bit of something green like lettuce to radish to something like a fitting sauce . So easy to eat & not forcing my jaw to go beyond reason while the rest spills all over the place.

Hamburgers! The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast.

Burnt to a crisp or bloody as hell?

It could have. But I don't really see this too much of as a burger since theres that skewer sticking out of the top of the burger. So I'd say that it's more like a kabob. Hamburger Kabob... maybe a Kaburger or Hambob.

not that big...in fact, it's just two regular size (Japanese equivalent for ultra-huge mega hyper big size) stacked one on the top of the other, with a chopstick to keep the set together. It's really a feeble idea, despite the burger seems pretty good, as most of cooking in Japan.

This is stupid. It is stupid as a promotion. It is stupid as a meal. It is stupid to look at. Why would anyone order one of these. Anyone that buys into this is a fool.

This looks like two spunked-on burgers, a bit of onion, speared on a chopstick. I'll bite me nails rather than eat this bag o' cack.

I was going to say that they took two burgers, stacked them, and put some type of "sauce" over it. What gives with the sauce on top of something like this? It just does not look good.
Here in Okinawa, there is a Wendy's. They are the same, but obviously, the portions are smaller. Oh, and they tout the "Australian beef" logo all over their menu. Personally, a burger about once a month. I prefer soba for lunch.

My mistake, the "sauce" is oozing from the sides, not on top....

the burger as itself looks perfect, but the size is not. Anyway this is just a publicity thing. A group of girls would buy it and share it much as you would with a 10 scoop icecream or bucket of popcorn. http://g.pia.co.jp/shop/86121?view=menu
