Very atmospheric, but are the colors true?

blue, some is possible, this much is unlikely for sure, now with digital "we" readily accept photograpers memory of what they imaginrd they saw & not what they did unfortunately

It may be photoshopped, or taken with a filter, or taken with a "scene mode" on his camera, or who knows, but lets give credit where credit is due, it is a nice photo, regardless of whether the colors are realistic or not.

The color is absolutely possible, taken at sunset from the north on a long exposure and very stopped down. Surely some of you have heard of Le Heure Bleu? Or the Golden Hour? Before digital photographers actually had to be able to read the light.....

Early winter on Fujisan. May be a lot of snow this winter, so let's compare in March or so next year. Damien: dedicated. Very nice blue photo.

agreed it is a nice pic, I am a shutter bug myself, along with digital my oldest film cameras are from the 1920-30s, anyone who remembers film(or still uses it) knows that a brand clled velvia produces vivid colours.

I just wish we cud know more about the pics(unrelistic I know) in print & on the web, how they taken enhancements etc, now a days we have to rely on editors for proper screening but still we are often wondering is this for real or not, kinda sad but thats "progress" I guess.

Maybe a production company could use this doctored shot for their logo.

too much photoshop for my taste..

I don't believe this was heavily Photoshopped. But there's a good chance that the photographer set the camera's white balance to "Incandescent", which renders daylight (however much or little of it there is) very blue. Or, he altered the colors in Photoshop. ;-)

    Lovely image.

if only it had a higher resolution...

almost anything a photographer does with almost any camera is in some way an artistic decision. what is 'natural' or 'true colour'? there is no such thing, only what each person sees. We all see blue or green differently, you cannot prove otherwise
