@Kaerimashita, for one the crowd seemed to be booing when the FIFA officials came out. Second, didn't Blatter already resign as FIFA president? So possibly the crowd was erroneously booing the interim president.
Despite that awkwardness, I enjoyed seeing some moments of good sportsmanship after this game, particularly the long hug between Abbey Wambach and Homare Sawa. Amazing to think that those two retiring greats have close to a dozen World Cups between them.
