Haruka Ayase is one of famous ladies in Japan because she is not only beautiful but also has nice character.

Great actors.

Cate B - I can't think of anything I've seen of hers that wasn't the consummate performance.

And Haruka - I saw 2 films of hers, Ichi & Incite Mill, both a little off-beat, but she oozed her roles.

Love to have dinner and chat with the both of them.

Nostromo: Haruka is multi talented. She is not your typical talento.

The big difference between the two is that Blanchett earned an Equity Card by working her way up as an actor. Ayase started off by posing as a gravure model. A real shame that in Japan female actressess have to get noticed by posing in bikinis at a young age. I'm not knocking Ayase because that's what she had to do. But the difference in career history between a western female actor and a Japanese female actor is embarrassing.

I wonder what make up they would put on Cate Blanchett if she ever reprises her role as Elizabeth in a third part of that series. Maybe SK-II is not good for covering ravages small pox.

She certainly would not look like the two babes in this picture.

@TigersTokyoDome. This is the most brilliant / accurate post I've read all week. Thanks-

@tigers good point, also would like to know the difference in contract prices between the two, yes I know Haruka Ayase probably is only marketed in Japan/Asia while Blanchett is the global ambassador, but im guessing the difference is staggering.

Ayase would have done well for herself financially. But only when she really started making a big name for herself. Plus, the crooked management agencies in Japan will be taking a huge cut from her earnings and have total control with the ability to drop her if she ever said no. In comparison Blanchett would be earning more than Ayase because of Blanchett's mainly Hollywood career, which pays big league fees. Blanchett will have plenty of freedom and spare time whereas Ayase has probably been made to graft non-stop for a number of years.

do you really live in Japan?

I rarely see her on Variety shows, the only time I see her on TV is during dramas and TVC.

She is a very good actor/actress , wether it's a big movie project or small TV drama mini series she's brilliant at both/
