    Round may is crow nesting season. The usually scared birds get aggressive and will dive bomb you if you get close to their nest.

    The crows in my neighbourhood don´t seem "usually scared" to me. In fact, they seem to make a point of trying to provoke me.

    We don't let the little doggy out on the balcony anymore, unless one of us is out there as well. Even then the crows line up with a hungry look in their eyes.

    I wouldn't be too worried: as the sign says, there is only one crow anyway, so it can't do too much damage.

    Those crows are menacing to tell the truth! My friend's wife was hit in the head with one swooping down, had blood and the whole works. Another time I was in Enoshima with a friend of mine, my friend was eating a burger and a crow swooped right down in between us and snatched the burger right out of their hand!

    The crows and the snakes between them keep the local frog and mouse populations down to manageable levels.

    BurakuminDes, it's nesting season; if there's only one crow, he's probably well peeved that he's alone and hasn't got anyone to help him build a nest (or any reason to build a nest, if he's got no partner). I reckon that could put him in a pretty bad mood.

    tMMt needs to get a dog-sized dog.

    Crows have rights too. Do some posters believe we should blow up anything that seems scary? As scavengers, they clean up our mess, so we owe them one. Next time, bow in respect and thank our cool friends.

    I'd like to see a crow swoop down on one of the ex-pats coming out of the National Azabu Supermarket across the street with a cart loaded with stuff and grab something.

    I see a sign mentioning something about taking notes on crows, but I see nothing giving a warning about the presence of aggressive crows. Just more Janglish with no meaning!

    Give me a permit for a .22 calibre rifle and a bounty of 100 yen per bird, and I will rid the city of its crow problem in six months.

    Have people start putting trash in cans, rather than open containers - or a joke of a container called a net - and you'll probably get rid of the crows in less than six months. Although taking a few potshots at 'em along the way couldn't hurt to speed up the process.

    I wonder if they hired someone to make that sign? or did they ask a preschooler in an International school to write it. That "one" crow must be very scary.

    Is it "Janglish" if the sentence is properly formed? I thought the sentence had to be obviously fractured in some way. Maybe that one crow has something about it that makes it worth noting. ;-)

    Weasel's point is right on. If you're leaving your edible trash out in the open, you're feeding not just the crows but vermin as well. Cover it!

    I wonder about signs like this. Did they hire someone to do the English translation, or did some idiot in the office who likes to say he got an 800 on his TOEIC test but really couldn't Engrish his way out of a wet paper bag write it up? It's really sad. They aren't the least bit embarrassed by nonsensical sentences like this? I mean if that's our tax yen at work, why not a decent translation?

    You think you guys got it bad, try bald eagles. Yeah, they take care of the crow population, but they take care of the pet and small children population, too. If they're having "a day," (circling your house), go outside with your motorcycle helmet on and do not tarry.
