    i wonder how many Japanese sdf members died in their duty in th past 50 years that need such a huge memorial stone!

    It says it is a "memorial to those who have died in the line of duty" (or "fallen in action"). Does that include WWII? Won't this make China hopping mad?

    Seeing as the same memorial will still apply for decades into the future, implying that the number of actual deaths is out of proportion to the size of the memorial seems to be just a bit of snippiness. Would you rather they just embed a small bronze plaque at the corner of some building?

    What would rather they did, build a little one and add to it with each new death? Lego style memorials thought of by “Just a guy”.

    By the way, are you having trouble with you keyboard caps key again? Strange how it only functions for the letter “J” and “!”. Maybe a new keyboard would be a good investment.
