People watch world number one biggest eater Joey Chestnut, left, of the U.S. and world number two Takeru Kobayashi of Japan compete during the CP Biggest Eater Competition inside a shopping mall in Singapore on Sunday. Chestnut won the face-off by eating 380 wontons in 8 minutes, with Kobayashi eating 370 wontons in the same time.

Debucho, a person with excess fat in their viscera, doesn't have the stretch room available for their stomaches during these outrageous bingefests.

Thanks but can you tell me in English? :) Does it mean it goes straight out the poop shoot?

Something like that is the next thing to making me sick. I cannot see why that should be head-line news.

Joey Chestnut. Sounds like he should be in The Sopranos.

Do you get money if you win? or just a trophy? "Worlds biggest pig"? I thought these kinds of contests were for children at travelling carnivals.

Sorry, Dubucho. If the belly is packed tight with fat in and around all the organs, intestines, stomache, etc., there's no room for the stomache to expand when large amounts of food are suddenly eaten.

These competitive eaters train by stretching their stomaches by stuffing themselves. I don't know if it is common practice, but they can binge and barf (eat a lot and then throw it up again) to stretch, without digesting the food.

    Is that clearer?

Thanks taj. That explains why they are so skinny. I imagined in one end out the other, apparently it is in one end and out the same end.. yuck

I once saw a program on TV about competitive eaters. The couple I saw on the program would train their stomachs every day by eating giant salads and other things that are low in calories. They weren't always eating hot dogs or other high calorie foods.
