I think they show much more imagination and look a lot better than European scarecrows ! (But I can't help wondering if they really scare the crows or if they offer a good "target practising" place... ?)
I guess at least a couple of people "misunderstood" my post... Having been the "victim" of "target practice" while walking the dog in the park (as soon as we got home, I had to immediately shampoo my very long hair...) I learned very quickly to wear a washable cap/hat when walking the dog in the park... ;-)

Without immigration, Japan will turn into a nation of scarecrows.
