Members of the Edo Firemanship Preservation Association perform on bamboo ladders during the annual New Year’s Fire Brigade Review (“Dezomeshiki”) at Tokyo Big Sight on Friday. The event included firefighting drills, rescue, first aid, a parade of firefighting equipment and other various performances.

Uhm, I guess it's one of those things people feel compelled to show, but every year? Try for some diversity in reporting. It's like those kittens. There's a punctuality to it. Not saying don't report it. But picture of the day? There has to be something more interesting/newsworthy than a predictable event.

Wow! They look amazing! I am always amazed by the local fire Brigade's demonstration.?5 These guys really keep themselves in tip top shape and if I may comment, very easy on a lady's eyes!
I have absolute and total respect for these men and women who willingly put their lives on the line for others.
