The Tokyo Game Show kicked off at Makuhari Messe in Chiba on Thursday with 209 companies from all over the world exhibiting more than 1,000 games and devices. Organizers said social networking games are in the spotlight this year due to the popularity of smartphones and tablets. The show is open to the public on Saturday and Sunday. As always, the booth babes attracted a lot of media interest.
