Halloween is another adult excuse to get drunk. For me every day is Halloween, St. Patricks Day, St. George's Day (I love to bet on horses), and Independence Day.

Why was the Glitterball held on Thursday instead of Friday, Halloween? The Japanese are always so confused about foreign holidays.

I thought that selling too many tickets so that you're oversubscribed was the kind of thing airlines did. However it was absolutely packed last night, possibly dangerously so. I left after an hour and a half and was told I wouldn't be allowed back in, and there was a queue of at least 40 people who'd bought tickets who weren't allowed in until others left.
I think they'd better sort it out for next year.
