Rather than dress up in ludicrous costumes year after year, perhaps the activists could actually take action and explain the issues to the general populaces governed by these leaders such that the populaces hold them to account by not voting them into office. That would seem to send a stronger message to leaders, and actually result in promises being kept. But alas, year after year the activists simply come up with a stupid, poorly executed gimmick to attract a few cameras.

Maybe that's someone's(white anglo) perception of the Japanese people. Many Japanese think of themselves as more western than asian, but that might not be the way they're thought of in some western quarters.

yeah looks like they had to quickly mod a diff mask for kan, maybe they shud just keep a Jackie Chan & Bruce Lee mask around to use for whoever is the Jpn PM, too expensive to make masks as they chg so fast only small quantities cud be made assuming they have time to even make them LOL

Funny, but I doubt Berlusconi would be scrambling to cover up in that situation. He seems like the type to try and flaunt whatever little he has.
Insert joke here about Kan being conflicted about wanting Obama to pull out of his Southern region.
