Japan has trained more special teams with skills and equipments to rescue saviors in earthquakes because Japan is a land of volcanoes and earthquakes. Thanks to Japanese team members.

Zenny11 -- agreed. If that is actually the CTV building in the background, I can understand why authorities said no one could survive. Tragic any way you look at it.

Yes and what you don't see here is the firemen still dousing smouldering ruins. The people trapped there may have perished in oven like conditions.

From the (other) images I have seen, it is looking very unlikely anyone is going to pulled out of that pile of rubble which was once the CTV building.

I don't believe in miracles, but I do hope that something good happens. My thoughts are with the parents and friends of everyone trapped, missing or confirmed dead.

Wow, may prayers go out to these guys, as well as anybody trapped under all that mess. What is strange about the picture is that buiding behind them is a mountain of crushed concrete and steel. The building behind that one looks like it has alomost no damage. Even the glass windows look fine. Wierd....

Much respect to these guys. Just saw a special documentary on them and the intense training and re-training they undergo to save lives is just admirable. Hats off to them.
