Japan’s Koji Murofushi takes part in the hammer throw qualification event at the Olympic Stadium in London on Friday. Murofushi qualified for Sunday’s final, throwing 78.48 meters on his second attempt. Hungary’s Krisztian Pars was the leader, throwing 79.37 meters.

    Yes Koji Alexander Murofushi is a cool dude. In past Olympic apperances he's cleared 78 metres (needed to progress to the final round) on his first throw.

    Hungary's Krisztian Pars was the leader, throwing 79.37 meters.

    He must be very Hungary after that effort.

    Thumbs up to all the cameramen and photographers who are brave enough to take photos of the hammer throws. I would certainly be nervous doing that.
