Should read "PM-elect Hatoyama"... or is there something we don't know about to happen? Is Ozawa going to come in within the next week or two when the LDP gathers to choose their PM, work the numbers, and become PM? Wouldn't surprise me with the fickle state of politics here!
Anyway, good riddance to the bad rubbish that was Aso. Mountain Pigeon could NOT be worse.

They are secretly the same party.... it's all a conspiracy and Japan chose the puppet on the left instead of the puppet on the right for a change!

If you saw Taro Aso face last night you know there is no conspiracy. Just winners and losers.

One of the major reason that Hatoyama replaced Ozawa was that he had a lot of skeletons inside the closet. I don't know if it's wise to open himself up like that again because if Ozawa does become part of the Cabinet, he will be subjected to Q&A directly from the opposition party during the budget meetings.

He isn't that until the whole Diet meets in a coupla weeks' time to elect the PM. With the huge majority they have it's a given, but strictly speaking it ain't over yet.
One of the pundits on TV Tackle this evening suggested that what's left of the LDP should also vote for Hatoyama, both to show willing to work with the new administration and because their own man is dead in the water.
