British actor Jude Law poses on the red carpet prior to the Japan premiere of his new movie “Sherlock Holmes” at Roppongi Hills on Thursday night. Law, 37, who is making his 6th visit to Japan, plays Watson in the film directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Robert Downey Jr as the famous sleuth. Law promised fans a re-imagining of Holmes and Watson unlike previous movies, but at the same time, said the film respects the tradition of the famous detective. “Sherlock Holmes” opens in Japan on March 12.

This is a very enjoyable film indeed - it looks as though Ritchie's broken his recent catalogue of flops.
I'm with Terusensei, though - a thoroughly unstimulating pic of the day. "Man Looks Unkempt on Carpet".
That suit probably cost thousands of pounds. Which nob head gets paid for advising Law not to bother with a shirt when he wears it?

I like Jude. Good actor normally a pretty handsome guy. This isn't the most flattering picture of him though.

It seems he fits into the role of Watson although he's looking too young to play him. But Downey Jr as Holmes ... that's outrageous! There's barely anyone who can replace the brilliant eccentricity of Jeremy Brett!

Why would you say so? To me nothing scary, well I am intimidated by his handsomeness actually, he is so much better looking than me that if I see him life I will faint.
