Can get some cool clothes here. Almost impossible to walk thru on the weekends though.

This pic hardly goes with this caption. At least half looks like older working men where kawaii trends is the last thing on their minds (maybe kawaii girls, but not fashion) and the few trendy women there are in this pic don't look like they're shopping at all.

Haven't been to Harajuku in years, is it still good for clothes shopping. I remember the Ura-Hara area being really good

I doubt very much that picture was taken on a Saturday or Sunday because if it had then Takeshita-dori is no longer the 'Harajuku of the past. This looks like a weekday where EVERYONE is walking through the area after work, school and maybe some going from school to work or doing a little window shopping. If you go there on a Saturday or Sunday, you will see a way different crowd that will push every boundary of fashion unless Harajuku has gone downhill and I don't mean that literally as in from the JR station. ;)
