Prime Minister Taro Aso on Friday appears at the opening ceremony of the illumination event “Koto Tokyo Lightopia” being held near the Imperial Palace and Marunouchi. The illumination will be held at Wadakura Bridge and the Imperial Palace moat as well as the Marunouchi area from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. through Dec 24. Aso made a paper lantern with the message “Brighten Japan,” which is being exhibited at Wadakura Spring Park. For more photos, visit: JapanToday.Gallery
