Will the train - or at least the carriage - now be de-commissioned? Many Japanese would be rather superstitious of catching it now after two people have died violently. Rest in Peace to the poor innocent woman.

So from now on starting tomorrow, entering the shinkansen area will be like entering an airport. start taking off your shoes kids. This guy has done what the shoe bomber did a number of years back.

'Yelnats'... I am sure you're just kidding but I don't think this guy who lit himself up was trying to harm anyone else. Chances are he just lost it and couldn't deal with life and its demands. If he had wanted to do harm he could have done far worse, don't you think?
Just pretty selfish to off yourself in such a manner in a place that could have killed far more. Stupid and selfish and there's no excuse for that.

Zichi, I agree with you (as most times when you post). Journalists that rush to the scene like this, are only looking for the story and a juicy picture.

Early departure of an innocent lady.
