Heil Abe!

Is he at a retirement home for women? Oh, never mind, it is the LDP base.

Yet another photo of the always gutsy "guts pose" (ガッツポーズ). Politicians in Japan never seem to tire of it.

Abe and the LDP: the enemy within.

The daruma represents a monk who, legend has it, sat looking at a wall, doing nothing, for so long that his arms and legs fell off.

Eerily appropriate.

What a nugget.

I just hope they all remembered to turn the gas off and leave food out for the cats.

It won't be long before we will all be expected to make this salute to Benuto Abelini, when he appears on TV, when we see a photograph of him and at the statues of him that will be placed at major intersections and outside Pachinko parlours in the larger cities (except Naha).

Japan's roly-poly. Kick him over and he flips right back up again.

He has been one of the most prominent Prime Ministers in recent history. Glad to see a Prime Minister who has gone away from the usual Mia cops, Mia cops leaders of the past.

If only other nations in this region would follow the lead of a Prime Minister Abe and focus on the future rather than harping on the past Asia would be a much stronger place for investments.

Imagine if those nations would stop trying to place blame on their present problems on the past and started actually addressing the problems that their own systems of government have caused for their nation on their people how much better things would get in this region!

No more threat of war, no more finger wagging because you need money for your insane reunification carrot trap, more actual free trade, more security, more profit for companies and the investors in those companies, etc etc etc.

But, in the real world the only way this could actually work is if all dictatorships (totalitarian/authoritarian regimes) would go the way of the dinosaur. But that will not happen as long as the elites want to horde all power.......

Isn't that the Black Panthers' Salute?

Good for Abe & cabinet. It is their responsibility ( not the US ) to protect Japan and its citizens. Thats all they're rallying support for here at this convention. So good for them, get on with it. Don't wait for another wake up call.

It is Genkotsu Banzai. Way wat before any Panthuwr wqre born for generations. Even though other LDP memvers loved to insult female in Japan, Abe did not forget a half of Japanese population is female. Unlikely as a Japanese man but he even tool this picture.

Joe, I always suspected your posts were satirical. That's a beauty.

He was promoting Womanomics. The picture of LDP ladies supporting Abe. Do DPJ people have some leaders who know hos to captivate 1 half of Japanese populations? It is obvious Abe is popular with older Japanese women despite of other LDP members who enjoy insulting Japanese women. With these LDP ladies, he will be PN for many more years
