I just got back from the game. I've never seen so many Kiwis and Aussies in Tokyo. Where did they all come from?

    that's 8-1 Robbie.

    "the All Blacks"

Do they exclude whites and Asians?

I watched a rugby match once. Well, part of one. Actually just a few minutes of one, I guess. Just a bunch of guys running around a field trying to move a football around. Reminded me of American football. Zzzzzzz

    Reminded me of American football.

At least they don't stop for a meeting after every tackle. :)

Well done to the All Blacks. When they're playing well, it's good for rugby (though not so good for the other teams).

Australia just aren't as good as they were. 15 years ago, those were good times. At least we can still play cricket...

another scrappy performance. the wallabies are getting lamer all the while.

As much as I like to teach Kiwis - good on ya - that's a decent win.

  • Foxie at 12:32 AM JST - 1st November

Wow what a great score for the Kiwis. Congrats.

don't have wowow, missed the whole thing XP

Well done to the Kiwis. Lucky for you guys, you aren't being coached by that complete muppet, Robbie Deans. Until this complete nobody came on the Australian rugby scene, the Wallabies were a half-decent team. We used to be able to compete occasionally with the Kiwis. Now, because of muppet Deans and his pathetic ideas about coaching, we are the laughing stock of world rugby.

SACK THE DEANS MUPPET! FIND AN AUSSIE COACH FOR THE WALLABIES!

btw, the game was a joke. How boring was that rubbish? 30 scrums and 40+ kicks is hardly going to win any fans to rugby. No wonder almost all at the ground were Aussies and Kiwis.

Looks like a great turn out for the game... all expats, or... ?

  • aintgottimetobl at 06:42 AM JST - 1st November

sorry des but no coach is going to turn very average footballers into champions,'cow'76 is right, the least he can do is expediate our 'transition stage'..as for the 30 scrums and kicks comment welcome to modern rugby, gotta be driving off the fans in hordes.

I was at the game and I think it was an excellent way to encourage the growth of rugby in Japan and the rest of Asia. However, I do agree with you "BurakuminDes", especially the large amount of penalties. This problem was mainly the referee's fault. If after the first few penalties he had told both captains that the next penalties were going to be yellow cards then it would have stopped all the crap that was going on. But also the Wallabies were going into almost every ruck off their feet and lying all over the ball, that killed the game in the second half.
