Every time I see displays like this I think back to the not to distant past where there was a HUGE push to conserve energy/electricity because the nuclear plants were all shut down.

Go figure?!?!?!

(I am glad that things aren't as bad as it was made to sound. Light displays like this remind me of home during the holidays and it makes people feel all warm and fuzzy inside!)

This one is a bit too gaudy for my tastes.

Reminds me of Snoopy's doghouse from Merry Christmas Charlie Brown.

How beautiful this picture is!!! When I saw this picture, I remembered Stardust fantasy at Okinawa Kanucha Resort. It hold during every winter, there is very beautiful Chrismas illumination. Last year, I went to there, I was deeply impressed by the beauty of Stardust fantasy. I thought illumination could heal exhaustion and be moved. Anyway, I want to go to see this Light displays.

I'm with Brainiac on this one -- a bit over the top for me. And yeah, why all the light displays at the same time the power companies are warning consumption has already reached over 90% of what's being generated?

I think that's lovely and bright - one for the kids, not the adults. Sometimes adults can have too much good taste - gaudy is fun!

I went there tonight to see it, and its a good show to watch. Great for kids and adults, the whole family. It's not a picture on the wall. It's a 8 minute 3D projection movie on a 4 story tall building. They run it every 20 minutes after it gets dark. Just minutes from Shimbashi Station or Oedo Line Shiodome Station.

I always look forward to seeing the pics of the Caretta Shiodome in Tokyo. I think they are spectacular looking. I have never visited it in person though cause I don't live in Japan. However I still dream & hope to one day.
