Rubber masks depicting Japan’s main opposition Democratic Party leader Yukio Hatoyama and Prime Minister Taro Aso are displayed on a workbench at Ogawa Studios, a mask making company, in Saitama. The company expects a boost in sales of the 2,000-yen masks after Sunday’s lower house election.

I got a feeling, the one who will wear those got bad things coming up... A free ticket to hospital?

I would wear the Aso mask and commit crime.

Great photo. Kind of sums up the election. People may think they are getting a choice between Hatoyama and Aso, but in reality all they're really getting is another face on the assembly line.

These masks are too lifelike and have far too much personality and character to be the real politicians.

They resemble a famous old sepia photo of the decapitated heads of criminals on display in Yokohama. Perhaps Japan should consider reviving public executions for politicians on the take.

They both debate about as well as rubber masks, too....hard ot tell the difference: is it real, or is it memorex?
