Turin Olympic figure skating gold medalist Shizuka Arakawa, 2nd right, singer Mai Kuraki, center, and 7-year-old actress Miyu Honda pose with two Nikko Ice Bucks players at the opening of the Tokyo Midtown ice skating rink on Thursday. The rink is open from 12 noon to 10 p.m. until Feb 29. The cost is 1,000 yen for high school students and adults, and 500 yen for younger children. Skates can be rented for 500 yen. Shizuka Arakawa became a commentator on TV for skating competitions. I noticed she is very biased. According to her comments, all Japanese skaters skate perfectly, but their Russian opponents make a lot of mistakes. I hope she improves otherwise it becomes unbearable for the ears,

Are you mistaking Miyu-chan (from Kaseifu no Mita) with Mana-chan (from Marumo no Okite)?
I heard Miyu-chan's older brother and sister are actually pretty good up-and-coming figure skaters....
