Crown Prince Naruhito, left, and Jordan’s Princess Rym Ali and Prince Ali bin Al Hussein arrive for a concert at the Royal Concert Hall in Stockholm on Friday night, ahead of the wedding of Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria and Daniel Westling on Saturday.

Only the Princess looks beautiful, calm and composed in chaotic looking situation.

Now THAT is what I call a princess!

The man's character and devotion to his wife is unquestionable. Given the dreadful, archaic machinations of the Imperial Household Agency I'm surprised he hasn't flown the coop or at least lost his cool years ago. A fine man and worthy of the title 'prince' in my book ...

It is kind of sad that he is alone. His wife has no compassion for him?

Ah the joys of monarchy. You're born as royalty in name only. All cos some ancient or great great x10 ancestor took some soldiers and overthrew some other person who called themselves "royalty".

Only thing that make a person "noble" is their actions and self achievements. (pointless rant mode off) :p

Can't he get a stand-in princess for occasions like this?

Every time you see a male member of the Japanese royal family in the news they nearly always appear terribly awkward.

Very likely it will be little Princess Aiko who will stand-in for her mother at social events, perhaps in about 10 years. That is provided she doesn't pick up her mother's social phobias.

Aiko as a stand in, provided she doesn't pick up her mother's social phobias.

    Too late, she already has...

Could it be possible?! Princess Masako will arrive in Cinderella style? But this is a fairytale! It would be good if Princess Masako could convey her fears and personal words-something like the King and I style, personal-to Princess Victoria. Something about her gratitude in realizing what is important to express, perhaps? At least it would make Sweden useful.

Sad really. I feel sorry for him, on several levels, his wife being just one. But probably the main one is because he is forced to live a life of such complete isolation and lack of real human contact. He must hate getting back onto the plane and having to return home to his gilded cage.

Beautiful couple. And I fail to detect what is awkward about the Japanese crown prince.

Where is Princess Masako? The Crown Prince should get a better tailor - that suit is a sight, and his dickie bow is crooked! Also, where did he get that awful hair style? I think he needs a visit from the "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" teacm - and quickly!

Actually, the other guy`s suit is even worse!

The pricess is hot. And take note: No burka in sight.

That is because Jordan has an authoritarian ruler who keeps the mullahs in their place.

All of them were so beautiful and so wonderful dressed and he was so lonely between all glamorous looking and loving couples, I even felt sorry for him
