The brand is a bit new to be changing the logo so soon, and it doesn't look like an improvement. It looks to generic.

GU stands for jiyu, freedom, maybe it has other meanings you know how they are with these things, it's a sister brand of uniqlo and at least for me searching for the two words gave me its site as the first result.
