Each lie, each deception, each act of dishonesty can combine to create a monster that can destroy your character and life. On the contrary, taking responsibility is a measure of one's self-worth and a sign of personal growth and maturity. It is definitely not a sign of weakness.

Who are those people bowing? They are sorry he got caught?

5 ( +7 / -2 )

I would've turned my back on him.

Hey, what about the money, does he still have to pay it back?

Anyway, he will probably be back in a different post a couple of years later.

Bad things happen to good people. Maybe he really is a nice guy and went down the wrong path.

Yubaru, why is he getting $200,000?

Exactly nice photo cuz someone is just bowing to him but why? We can guess, final greeting or appreciation?

Anyhow I'm interested in next person!! According to the latest TV news, a clean guy, I mean no scandal no money issues, is preferable. It should be Sakurai-kun's dad.

He bought so many small pointless things with public money that he could have easily used his own money for: Pajamas and a skirt for his daughter; mangas; trips to his ranch etc. His selfishness was the straw that broke that camel's back! Smart guy but selfish.

Please let the door hit you... hard!

If he truly wants to show remorse, he could return the money and donate that 22 mil.

not holding my breath though.

Anyway, he will probably be back in a different post a couple of years later.

doubt it. but you never know. This is Japan. Anyway, there is always amakudari..unfortunately.

That Y22 million retirement allowance is an astonishing amount considering he has only been in the job for 2 years 4 months. Most people would be lucky to get that after working 40 years.

All of them thinking; there but for the grace of a lazy press and the new secrecy act goes me.

Instead of bowing, they should have been singing like a pro wrestling crowd... "Na na na-na, na na na-na, hey, hey, hey.... goodbye!"

Don't let the door hit your a*se on the way out!

The outgoing governor is receiving a retirement payment of 22 million yen out of taxpayers' money. Given his expensive taste in food and overseas trips, it won't last him long.

I'm waiting for the citizens of Tokyo to start a civil case against him!

Give me facts about the 22 million. Makes no sense. What if he was working ten years and quit? 22,000,000,000?
