The cast of the upcoming movie “Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru” (A Strong Wind is Blowing) display their enthusiasm in their characters’ uniforms at a promotional event. The movie follows 10 college students with completely different personalities and backgrounds, who go through rigorous physical training with the goal of securing a spot in the Hakone Ekiden, a famous annual university street relay. Among the actors is Dante Carver (back row, far right), who is well-known for his role in the Softbank Mobile commercial. The leader of the team is played by Keisuke Koide (front row, center). The movie will be in theaters Oct 31.

    Ha ha ha!! Great picture after a bad day. I guess the guy with the glasses in the right won't go through that "rigorous physical training" with the goal of securing a spot in the Hakone Ekiden.....

    Ha! I thought this was a TV movie, but I just noticed that it will be released in the theaters. JPY 1,800 for this? LOL

    All the guys are wearing mizuno shoes. Is it standard for all team members to wear the same brand?

    there must be some kind of mistake....where is the geeky fat bespectacled character? the loaf to the right is surely not in the movie?

    Guess it was fairly easy to cast this movie, as most J-guys are about as thin as long distance runners. But, my gosh, the 2nd guy on the right in the first row can't weigh 50 KG, soaking wet. Those aren't legs, they're toothpicks. Pretty sad that the cheerleaders are all better built than almost any of the guys are. But, in their defense, the guys have better hair.

    Yes very varied backgrounds, they even have that guy from southpark in it..whats his name? Token? OH wait, its the softbank guy.

    it's called 'skinny desu', a movie about average folks in Japan running marathons to stay fit, only to get skinnier.

    Why not just call the next movie "Do One's Best" and be done with it? I mean it's always the same... a group of people with "completely different personalities" but who are in fact completely predictable overcome their differences to succeed. Oh the joys of the "gambaru" spirit.
