Does anyone know which is the closest train station to this site? Sagami or Odakyu line? Good photo.

Mass production of 'koinobori' despite declining birth rate, picture far from reality.

Lovely photo, I can tell you those carp streamers aren,t cheap, my parents inlaw bought 3 med sized ones for 15000 yen, so i guess in this photo you must have atleast 2,000000 yen worth of carp, I swear i,m in the wrong business.....

On children's day, I would hope that laws and public awareness and counsel, hotlines, homes etc to help these children. That it would be in the planning from this society and government. To make these in effect as soon as possible to stop the violence that we read everyday on the news. Not just streamers and hotdogs at the beach.

This picture has that nice "summer haze" look to it. Granted most people are in long sleeve clothing...

to tigerguy: The mouth of the Sagami River lies between Chigasaki and Hiratsuka stations on the JR Tokaido Line. However, the photo may have been taken at a location somewhere upstream...

This picture is great. While out in very remote Kyoto Prefecture i saw about 100 of these over a field, make great photos to show people back home.

Beautiful. The carp streamers over Sagami River is one of my favorite memories from Japan (& one of the very few events I got to share with my son).

Great pic, we put our koinobori out on Sunday in anticipation. By the way isn't it "boy's day" as opposed to "children's day"?
