Of course it wouldnt' be much of Royal visit without the court jesters. Unfortunately there was and is no laughing matter as to what occurred in that area and there is much work to be done that is not quite living up to the promises.

Honestly, I think this visit was a good thing. Most of all for the people of Onagawa.

I mean, this one visit by William may be one more visit Abe has taken to the area. And maybe the video of the visit will be shown to other countries who may make comments that could pressure Abe to take a more serious role in the rebuilding efforts.

And these people who probably haven't received much good news can get a little bit of excitement and can show their culture to the world and to a friendly visitor. I'm sure everyone had a good time.

Of course I do not know what type of person he is outside of his public life but William seems to have turned around the image of the British royal family. Any publicity and moral support for the 3/11 victims is a great thing.

Nothing taken away from Prince William, but he seems to be getting a lot more press on JT than the homegrown Prince does.
