Picture of the Day ( 7 )
Tokyo Sky Tree, the Statue of Liberty and Tokyo Tower stand together at Tobu World Square, a popular theme park in Tochigi Prefecture, famous for its miniature reproductions of over a hundred well known world architectures and historic relics, produced at 1/25th of their actual sizes. Tokyo Sky Tree is one of the newest editions to the park and is approximately 26 meters high.

Personally, I never undertsood the attraction of this attraction. At 1/25th scale the replicas cannot due any justice to the impact of the actual landmarks. Plus they are not in the right setting. Totally lost on me.

Well at least the Tokyo Sky Tree model isn't topped off by a hideous sink-plunger like the real one.

This is actually a little cool park if you detour near Nikko. They used to have the World Trade Center towers a long time ago, not sure if they are still up or not.

Around where I live, little scale models like this are perched on top of the love hotels and lit up with floodlights at night.
