Half-time score is 0-0,but Japan's team played more cohesively than that Greece did, and winning chance is looking good for Japan.

Disappointed! Japan’s team wasted tons of scoring opportunites.

That was Japan's game to win with Greece down a player but quite frankly Japan appeared to be afraid of the ball. As soon as they got possession they seem to wildly just kick it away as if it were a live grenade. No effort other than the free kicks to set anything up for a play, just wild kicking. Columbia will wipe them out if they play like this again. Sadly, I see Japan out as of now.

Couldn't score against static Greeks, this is not tournament for them. 02 - ok, 06 - fail, 10 - ok, 14 - fail again, so maybe in Russia they'll be back again. Japanese girls are better in football anyway:P

Told you so. All that hype... and confidence in beating Greece (which by the way had one man short for the entire game) went nowhere. They might as well pack their bags now, there's no way Ivory Coast can't beat Greece.
Gosenx
Oh, and 98 - also fail, so they can play good only once in 8 years, but since that was their first time... I'm disappointed, because Korea or Australia aren't better teams, yet they've played much better and they have harder groups as well.

Japanese fans in the stadium have really gone all out. So cute! Oh, the team? Don't think I will have any university students in my morning class today!

Extremely poor performance by the Samurai. They shouldve put the game away against 10 men. The only hope now is that Colombia rest their superstars and throw a bunch of kids on for the last game - maybe, just maybe, the Samurai can beat them and shock the world. If not, it's bye-bye old Zac.
papigiulio
zannen, really hoped Japan would at least make it to the next round.

It's over already? Nuts.

Neither team deserves to go to the next round. It was such a boring game and Japan missed so many opportunities...

So if they beat Colombia they move on?
Next game meaningless?
Please fill me in on the rules

Very creative head gear. Why can't Japanese people be like this in Japan, like, everyday.

I really love the Japanese fans. They have brightened things.

Even if they beat Colombia, which is quite possible because Colombia will be resting their key players after they wrapped up the post 16 playoff, Greece has to either tie or win against Ivory Coast. Then it will be down to goals scored to goals given up points differences to see who goes on. In other words, the chances for Japan are slim.

This game felt as if Greece was playing a kind of wall off the goal defensive game. While the Japanese team I felt was playing a sort of find an opening to this impregnable fort game.

I'll take the maguro sushi girl on the left. Looks tasty.
