They will easily recover. Unlike the a380, there is a demand for the B787. Plus its the first of its kind so its a pretty historical plan bound for many successes like the B747

Initially maybe, but they do have over 850 on order. I'm guessing they'll break even at the very least - and fingers crossed that his cutting edge 'plane doesn't suffer teething problems like the Comet.

I like jets with four engines. You know, just in case one or two malfunction.

The headline should read something like, "Well, Hello Baby ... " "Sayonara" sounds sort of scary.
As for the new 787 ... just hope it handles turbulence okay. I always fly ANA ... so guess one of these days I'll be riding in a 787.

If I can choose the plane I get on I will always choose the 787. Its cabin pressure is the equivalent of 6000 feet and the air is more humid.

Hey, isn't that the Dreamlifter in the background? http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,273939,00.html

Good-bye economy? Apparently not as long as someone can afford the ticket to fly.

This is bitter-sweet for ANA with the story of one of their craft plunging almost 2,000 meters recently.
I like the look of this new aircraft, especially the new style window shading inside. Press a button and you can tint the window darker or lighter. This will at least allow you to take a look outside on long-haul flights, without disturbing other passengers with a blast of sunlight at 5AM!
But, I do wonder if those economy seats are comfortable for long-haul flights. They looked a little thin.
Either way, I look forward to being able to take a flight on one of these craft in the near future!
