The Neo-nationalist hawk Abe shakes hands with another merchant of arms. Why do I feel even less secure now?

Where are all the rest of the Japanese attendees? Perhaps out trying to find butter!

Ever more pressure on Japan to become a military country that can fight in the US-caused wars. I feel sorry for young kids who will grow up to die in a war in some far away land.

@JT Actually that seems to be Mike D Rogers, congressman from Alabama, not the more famous Mike J Rogers from Michigan.

Wide tables are meant for tall people. Personally, I would also have a tough time shaking hands across that expanse. Possibly even having to climb up and over it.

I hope the rest of the delegation was out on a big butter import run also.

Mr Abe needs longer arms or a shorter table

It's nice to see people sharing their trust and microbes through a handshake.
